Oily Sludge

Sludge preparation and conditioning involves heating of sludge, breaking down solids, fluidizing, blending, mixing and homogenizing of sludge to achieve consistent and to maintain suspended mixture. The sludge is homogenized and conditioned in conditioning tanks via mechanical agitators which fluidizes solidified oily sludge hence making it pumpable to the next phase of separation.
The liquid mixture is sent through a series of floatation processes and settling processes, resulting in the recovery of oil and water with oil floating on top and water settled down at the bottom. The recovered oil is returned to the refinery, while the recovered water is sent to the water treatment facility.
Oil Water Separation is a process in which we designed the Oil water separator to separate gross amounts of oil and suspended solids from the wastewater effluents of oil refineries, petrochemical plants, chemical plants, natural gas processing plants and other industrial oily water sources.
Oil Water Separators are utilized to Oil Water Separation from the liquid in a well stream. This allows liquid free gas to be diverted to gas sales and/or to be utilized as fuel. Relatively gas free oil is then dumped to storage or to a treating system for removal of water.
Conventionally there are two types of separators; Two phase Separators that are Designed specifically for oil and gas. The well stream enters the separator and strikes an inlet deflector which diverts the liquid and gas downstream to the liquid section where it begins to separate. After adequate retention time, liquid builds up in the bottom of the tank and lifts a float, through a linkage to dump the fluid. Whereas three phase Separators are designed specifically for oil, gas and water. Essentially the same as a two phase except the separator has an internal inlet down comer, which carries the fluid to the bottom of the vessel for added retention and separation time.
Installations of these Oil Water Separation are very expensive. The technology proposed here entails oil elimination and reduce volume of waste oil being discharged at the port facility. In this nano based technology helps oil separation which are too small for simple gravity-driven stratification.
